Most Shocking Father-Daughter Wedding Dance Ever

Weddings may generally be about two people who have decided to spend the rest of their lives together, sharing the joys, the pleasures and the challenges of what’s ahead. But, it’s also a celebration of two families! This momentous event involves the participation of the bride and groom’s families -like that sweetest sister as the maid-of-honor, that brotherly toast from the best man, and the overflowing support from the parents! Weddings are made special simply because it brings families together.

Every wedding reception is unique in its own way– it could be a traditional formal dinner or an epic one! The part of the wedding where the father dances with his beautiful daughter would surely warm our hearts. But this bride took it to the next level when she and her dad performed a shocking father-daughter dance like no other. This is not your classic waltz!

Mikayla Phillips and her dad, Nate, surprised the guests by shifting the traditional slow dance into a well-choreographed medley dance number! Guests have been describing the performance as the best father-daughter dance they had ever seen.

“I’m the oldest and the only girl so that was my dad’s only chance to do something like this. For years he has talked about doing that and he finally convinced me,” said bride Mikayla Phillips. She added that her dad practiced almost every night to perfect the dance moves for the big day. He surely proved that practice makes perfect when he took to the dance floor at the reception.

Nate even told the videographer that this performance was his chance to “treat his daughter how she should be treated–as a princess.” What a loving father he is!

He also has a message for all dads out there: “NEVER PASS UP A CHANCE TO DANCE WITH YOUR DAUGHTER!”
