If you are into adventure, action and mystery, then the Pirates of the Caribbean ride should be on your top list when you go to Disneyland.

When a group of adventurous Disneyland visitors opted for Pirates of Caribbean ride on Wednesday afternoon, they expected a swashbuckling journey through caves inspired by the film series of the same name.

These riders were lucky enough to be up for a great surprise! Like most they were simply expecting to blown out of the water or to be shaken by the crazy ride. But this time was different. Expect the unexpected as they say.

At the end of the ride, they were only expecting to see wax figures of the characters from the movie. But as they got even closer, reality began to set in and they realized that the ultra-realistic figure was none other than the actor who played Jack Sparrow in the popular film franchise – Johnny Depp!

Johnny Depp appeared in full costume and makeup as his character, Captain Jack Sparrow in The Pirates of the Caribbean.

Depp slipped into character so he could surprise the amusement park-goers and give them a rare experience they would never forget. He was “waving his arms and sword, drunkenly swaying as the captain’s wont to do,” reports Today. Johnny Depp executed his signature mumbling and sword-pointing. He also repeated lines from the film as visitors passed in their boats.

The social media lit up and went crazy when dozens of people from Disneyland posted videos and photos of this marketing stunt on Twitter. The lucky riders uploaded videos in Twitter expressing things like, “Life is complete!” and “Best night ever!” You can really hear fans screaming in the videos.

It’s not everyday that you get to meet a celebrity so you can imagine the shock that these riders experienced. It could be the best ride of their lives!
