What better way to end a very long day than to just go home, have a cup of warm coffee or a nice soothing bath, perhaps read your favourite book or watch a feel good movie? That is exactly how the judges of the popular UK talent show, The X Factor, felt after seeing tons of people audition for the competition at the end of August, 2015. However, the three judges did not expect that the very last contestant would grace the stage, blow away the crowd and move them all to tears with a rendition of the song, “Jealous” by Labyrinth.

Josh Daniels, 21-years-old, patiently waited all day to audition just like all the other contestants. When it was finally his turn, he shares his story of how the tragic death of his best friend affected his life two years ago. He picked this song simply because of how the lyrics also mean to him and how this song always reminds him of his best friend.

From the moment he starts to sing, the judges and the crowd are left speechless. Everyone just felt the intense emotions from his soft and tender voice that filled the whole place. Even Simon managed to shed a tear or two at the performance.

A well-deserved standing ovation was given to him at the end of his beautiful performance. His face lit up with joy and gladness by how the crowd and the judges loved it. The judges continues to give their comments while pausing intermittently in sheer amazement with what they’ve just witnessed. Josh Daniels gets an emotional “Yes!” from the judges as he makes it through to the next round with flying colours!
